Complete the List: Season 3, Episode 11
Clearing Out The Hoffa List

Thursday, May 7, 2020

No game was played in this episode. Instead, Andy reads the questions and answers for eight categories that were offered for selection on at least one episode, never selected, and for various reasons, never were included in any future game.

The list is named after the famous union leader whose body was never found, like these categories, he was "presumed dead." It was one of two names I suggested for the concept; the other was "The Dustbin," as in "consigned to the dustbin of history." Andy selected "Hoffa List" — and hindsight has proven that choice to have been correct.

I place categories on the Hoffa List after they have gone ten episodes since the most recent game in which they were not selected; thus, categories can come off the list if brought back and replayed. These eight, however, will be placed on the list permanently.
